Preston, Sharona and I (Margaret) want to thank you all for your contributions in food and/or serving at Mama Carrie's church this past Wednesday. We could not have done it without a single one of you in however you were able to be involved. Eventhough we started this off in our Life Group, it extended with volunteers from Single Focus, parents, friends outside of NorthStar and teenagers & children of our singles. (over 20 servers) It was so amazing! Sydney and Nicole Cox were our youngest and the cutest and best bread servers you can find!!!
As you can see, God's hand was in this from the beginning to end. We had plenty of food for the over 70 guests, gave them togo plates of food and stock the church's freezer for serving future meals. They had the most amount of people ever show up in their history of doing this. We handed out tracts that explained how Jesus died for our sins, we had teenagers making plates for those who needed assistance, serving desserts and warming food as we needed it. Like always, our team jumped in and pulled it off without a hitch. Best of all, we had great conversation with the many guest. We thoroughly enjoyed participating in their service and singing the wonderful hymns that reminded me of my childhood. It was an awesome day!!
We missed all of you who could not attend, but gave by donation and/or prayer. Many of you expressed ways to help out in the future. Be sure that it will be a topic for discussion. You all represented NorthStar and our Lord Jesus to the highest!
